Our skin is the largest organ in our bodies. It removes more toxins from our bodies then even our bowel
movements. It is often the first indicator that something is going awry inside our bodies.
In spite of the name, age spots have little to do with aging. Unprotected exposure to the sun causes pigment damage to the skin over time. While most recommend heavy sun-screens it is the opinion of the authors of this site that this kind of protection is ok in some situation, but is not the end all to skin protection.
We need some exposure to the sun. It is the best source of vitamin D and several studies show that those with more exposure to sunlight experience more feelings of happiness then those with less exposure. It is our opinion that you should get an average of 10 - 20 minutes of exposure to sunlight several times a week without sun-screen.

Home remedies for age spots #4: Use vitamin E oil both internally and externally for the skin. Vitamin E kills free radicals that does damage to the skin, but when using externally, do so only after being in the sun because the oil creates free radicals when exposed to sunlight. One of the best sources of vitamin E is cold pressed olive oil. Be sure to include a teaspoon of this a day on a salad or other food.
Remember that illness of any kind is caused from an imbalance of the body, mind and spirit.
