My Cold And Flu Remedies And Suggestions

I would like to share my cold and flu remedies with others that I tried and worked like a charm for me.

When I came down with the flu it seemed I got over it a lot quicker by following this regimen of natural home remedies.
Here it is, please let me know if it helps you.

Start with:

(Organic Lemon Water)

Or Lemon Ginger Echinasea simply nutritious by Knudsens 3 times a day heated

For Lemon Water Squeeze one 1/4 lemon wedge in one 8oz. glass of warm filtered / bottled water 3 times a day, then the rest of the day drink at least four 16 oz. glasses of plain filtered water.

Our bodies thrive on water and we can easily become dehydrated when sick.

Follow with:
Green Salads containing spinach, mixed greens, iceberg mix, green onion, broccoli, asparagus, green beans, brussels sprouts, beet greens or any greens you like.
Let's make it taste good.

I like to make a mayo horse radish dressing for it mix 1 cup mayo 1/2 cup creamy horse radish

3 tblsp organic apple cider vinegar and 2-3 tblsp natural honey mustard 1-2 tblsp organic cane sugar

a dash of Sea / Himalayan salt. (makes enough for quite a few salads, keep in fridge)

It makes your greens taste yummy, after all if we don't like the taste we won't want it will we?

and what good is it in the garbage and not in our tummies right?

It might taste a little strong that just means a little less on your salad either way it's okay.

(My Crock Pot Soup Recipe)

Cook 2-3 lbs natural chicken legs, thighs, breasts or a whole chicken with skin in your crock pot adding 1 cup filtered water 1 tsp Sea / Himalayan salt, let boil for 3 hours on high, add 1 small pk.sauteed shiitake mushrooms, (saute for 5-8 min in 1 tsp cold pressed sesame oil in a frying pan)

add to crock pot with 4 stalks celery sliced, 1 lg. onion, 4 cloves whole garlic gloves peeled and shredded, add 1 tsp or more if you can take spicy of chili pepper flakes and cook all for another hour.

when soup is done to make it easier you can just carefully take out the whole chicken / pieces and store in a container in the refrigerator and add slivers to soup when eating.

I suggest you make this in the beginning stages of feeling ill.
Make it and take it when you have even one of these symptoms.

coughing, sneezing, runny nose, dizziness, unusual aches and pains, soreness, congested, headaches, feeling run down, feeling crawly or itchy, upset stomach or just generally not feeling like yourself.

to make it easier you can just carefully take out the whole chicken / pieces and store in a container in the refrigerator and add slivers to soup when eating.

(Herbal Teas)

In the evening to help sooth you to sleep to make sure you get enough rest.
my suggestion is peppermint chamomile mixture or one of the other already mixed ones.

Or you can drink any one of the non caffeinated teas and add your own liquid extract like:

Passion Flower Extract, Valerian Extract, Catnip Extract California Poppy Extract or Hops Extract.

(My Cold And Flu Meal Plan)

Drink one cup of lemon water or the knudsons Lemon Ginger Echinacea juice a 1/2 hour before each meal along with a 16 oz. glass of pure filtered or bottled water.


1 Boiled egg, 1 slice of heavy whole grain bread toasted with tahini spread, 1 med apple or 1 c.
natural apple sauce.


Green salad & a V8 juice


My chicken broth soup with 6 oz. chicken taken off bone and eaten with soup, 1 slice of whole grain toast with tahini butter and1 16 oz. glass of Just Black Cherry Juice, berries or pineapple.
